PIETERSITE

The centerpiece on this collar is a rich Pietersite cabochon, a rare stone that is only mined in one location in Namibia. There are swirls of black, honey, chocolate, gray and carnelian colors, making for a fun palette. I have imitated the motion and activity in the stone itself with the patterning and tried to capture the bubbling effects within the stone. Outlining the cabochon are tiny 2mm carnelian beads.

The drapes include Swarovki crystals, labradorite beads, light bronze freshwater pearls, butterscotch colored faceted freshwater pearls, carnelian, and wonderful opal rondelles that glow with an inner light.

The clasp is 18K gold.

The collar is backed with soft ultra suede fabric in a topaz color.
